Shooting and Hunting in Scotland

The Estate offers some of the best game shooting and terrain available in Perthshire.

Whether hunting pheasant, shooting pigeon or stalking deer, from small walked up shooting days to large driven pheasant and partridge shoots, you will appreciate the high quality of sport on the stunning Scottish Estate.

Our two very experienced shooting tenants will ensure that you enjoy a great sporting experience.

Pheasant and Partridge Shooting– Berryhills and Logie Beats

Pheasant Shooting season is available from September until the end of January, days of driven Pheasant and Partridge are available for parties of 6-10 guns.

Bags range from 50-300+ depending on species and time of year with single or back to back days ensuring each day offers a different shooting challenge.

There is a tremendous variety of drives on Berryhills, from the formal coverts close to Scone Palace to the exciting bank shooting alongside the famous River Tay as well as the well known Colen Den.

The choices available fulfil the objectives of providing a variety of high quality sport.

Mixed Rough Days

The main season for this is from September until the end of January but outwith this period there is always the chance to hunt and shoot something such as rabbit and woodpigeon.

This can be organised for parties of up to nine guns.

These normally comprise of walked up and driven shooting, and can be tailored to the clients wishes.

Bags of 50-100 head of game can include pheasants, woodcock, duck, pigeons, snipe and rabbits.

There is also the opportunity to shoot flighting duck of an evening with five separate flight ponds on the estate. Bookings can be taken for individual or consecutive days

Pigeon and rabbit hunting can also be arranged. The pigeons can be shot either over decoys or an evening roost and rabbits either ferreted or walked up. These days are for parties of up to five guns and with an unlimited bag.

Hospitality

Hospitality is included in the price of each days shooting.

It is standard practice for a party to meet and greet for a light breakfast or tea and coffee before heading to the field.

During the day elevenses will be provided and thereafter lunch.

Hospitality is available at our newly built fishing bothy on the banks of the River Tay, complete with wood burning stove, or within Scone Palace itself, with an “ Upstairs or Downstairs “ option.

There are various types of accommodation locally to Berryhills from Self Catering, Bed and Breakfast to luxury four star and five star country house hotels.
