Seasonal Assistant Chef

Scone Palace is looking to appoint a Seasonal Assistant Chef to work with us over our 2017 season (April – October).

Duties to include preparing and serving food within our busy coffee shop. Soups, sandwiches, baked potato and daily specials. Some occasional evening function work.

 Normal working hours are 8.00am – 4.00pm, working 5 days out of seven, occasionally more if the business requires.  Weekend working will be required.

We are looking for someone with experience to at least chef de partie level or of working in a high volume fast paced environment. A good knowledge of current food hygiene legislation is essential.

Scone Palace is seeking Seasonal Catering Assistants to work with us over our 2017 season (April – October). Full time, part time and weekend hours available.

We welcome in excess of 100,00 visitors each year.  We serve freshly cooked food and mouth-watering home-baked cakes, using only local ingredients where possible, and we're looking for more enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team.

 As a member of the Catering team, your role is crucial in bringing Scone Palace to life, from serving delicious snacks and home baking prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients, to looking after our visitors and making them feel welcome. As a member of our team you will play a valuable role in helping in the day to day running of the Catering Department. 

 ·         Hourly wage in line with National Minimum wages rates

 ·         Seasonal contract terminating at 31st October 2017

 ·         Flexible Hours, some weekend working will be required
