Stormont Angling Club is a private club established by The Rt Hon Earl of Mansfield with fishing on Scone Palace Estates water on the River Tay and River Almond. Through annual subscription members enjoy excellent quality fishing and good catches are made [six-year average catch 279 salmon, 52 sea trout]. Also, members enjoy trout and grayling fishing on much of the lands owned by Scone Estate.

Season permits [15 January to 15 October] to fish for salmon and sea trout are available on three prime beats of the lower Tay and two beats of the River Almond. The number of these permits is limited and a waiting list system operates when any beats become oversubscribed.

The club operates strict codes of conduct to ensure that good fishing is enjoyed by all. The range of different beats offered provides opportunities for both beginners and experienced anglers. Both fly fishing and spinning are permitted on all beats with some beats having fly fishing only areas.
