Management Accountant 

Scone Palace, a five-star rated visitor attraction that welcomes in excess of 100,000 visitors each year is inviting applications for the full-time post of Management Accountant.  This is a rare opportunity to join one of Scotland’s top visitor attractions. 

As a fully qualified accountant, the successful candidate will provide financial support to the Chief Executive and members of the management team and manage the organisation’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities on a day to day basis, responsible for an Accounting team of two.

 The role demands:

  • An accountancy qualification (CCAB: CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience in accounting for a number of projects simultaneously
  • The ability to manage workload and prioritise efficiently
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of managing staff

Estate Maintenance

Scone Palace has a vacancy for an Estate Maintenance Person to join our in-house Maintenance Department.

As a member of this three person team you will be expected to carry out a wide range of renovation and maintenance work throughout the Estate.  The role requires good all round maintenance knowledge and skills and a thorough knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements.

A qualification in buildings maintenance / construction trade and current machinery tickets would be advantageous.  A current, clean driving licence with towing classification is essential.

Part-time Housekeeper

Scone Palace has a vacancy for a part-time Housekeeper.

As a member of our small Housekeeping team you will be expected to carry out a wide range of cleaning duties and re-stocking of consumables as required.

You will work five days per week (weekend work will be required on a rota basis), mostly 7.30am – 12.30pm, although additional hours may be available on an ad-hoc basis.  Flexibility is essential to fit in with Palace Events and Functions requirements.

The role requires a good standard of housekeeping knowledge and skills and a desire to deliver the highest level of service and a professional approach.  An understanding of relevant Health & Safety requirements is desirable.
