Scone Palace sparks to life with a spectacular evening celebration of its 900 year old built heritage and winter woodlands. Explore this stunning new illuminated trail as it finds it's way through this magnificent iconic estate.

Interact with Scotland's famous Pinetum and its 'Talking Trees'. This unique collection of trees will be at the heart of your journey, lit to highlight the beauty of their magnificent structures. Scotland's leading light and sound designers take you under tree top canopies and let you gaze, from the spectacular specimens to the delicate flora and fauna that makes this experience quite unique.

Wonder at this spectacular light and soundscape with Scone Palace's much loved landmarks as you have never seen them before. The Palace provides an inspiration and a superb backdrop for an extra special installation that can't be missed. And, for the first time for many visitors to the palace, the beautiful Octagon and Long Gallery will be atmospherically lit with candles for you to see how the Palace would have been lit before the age of electricity.

ENLIGHTEN is a great opportunity for all age groups to enjoy a superb evening adventure. Your ticket includes entry into the Long Gallery, the longest room in Scotland, in one of Europe's most iconic historic properties.

 1. Do I have to arrive at 5pm?

As the event is open until 9.30pm and the walk takes around 75 -90 minutes (depending on your pace and how long you want to stay in the Palace) you can arrive at any time through the evening so there is no rush to come for 5.00pm.

2. Where do I park?

Car parking is on-site at Scone Palace and is free of charge. Please follow the main road signs to Scone Palace. As the car parking is on grass please wear suitable footwear. Car parking in these fields is at the owners risk and due care should be taken.

 3. What happens if the event is cancelled?

ENLIGHTEN will only be cancelled if there is severe weather and high winds. If in doubt please consult the Scone Palace website on the day. If the event is cancelled please contact your point of purchase for a refund.

The majority of the trail is NOT accessible for the disabled and the infirm. Motorised wheelchairs are not permitted within the Palace rooms.

 5. Are dogs allowed?
