Scone Palace promises six nights of spookiness combined with some of Perthshire's scariest folk tales as it extends its Spirits of Scone event this Halloween.
The five-star visitor attraction will transform its historic grounds into a horrorscape for the event, which runs from October 26th to October 31st. Spirits of Scone will offer a thrilling illuminated tour around the Palace grounds, including the graveyard and the Ghoul's Maze. Some gruesome characters from Scottish history will be brought back to life with spine-tingling stories inspired by local folklore.
Heather McArthur, sales and events manager for Scone Palace, said:
"Last year our inaugural Spirits of Scone event was a huge success, and this year we wanted to build on that by making it bigger, better and scarier than before. Our grounds, which include an ancient graveyard, definitely lend themselves to becoming an atmospheric Halloween backdrop.
"Scone Palace is a place steeped in history and the local area has some fascinating characters for us to build spine-tingling stories around. We're delighted to have Ad-Lib Theatre Arts and NL Productions on board again. They have worked with our talented creative team to really turn up the fright dial."
There will also be a ghoulish selection of hot and cold food available for the event, which is aimed to thrill. All children must be accompanied by an adult and, due to the nature of this event, it is not suitable for young children.
Tickets start at £5.00 and an Early Bird discount is being offered for those who purchase before 31st August.
